Cheating! Almost caught!

My neighbor and I get along very well, but his wife is extremely jealous and hasn't exactly made his life easy since I moved in next door. He works shifts and is therefore often home when she's at work, but even then he doesn't get any peace, he told me recently, because checking up on him is a daily occurrence. This morning, the two of them had a proper argument, and shortly afterward, my neighbor was at my door. Could he maybe come in for a quick coffee? He just needed to vent! Apparently, she's accusing him of having an affair with me. He then said that it didn't really matter what we did, she was already thinking the worst anyway… Well, I'm not so sure about that, but he kept talking me into it until I finally agreed. We'd just finished when there was a bang on the front door! His wife was standing in the hallway, yelling at my door… Great, now he has to climb out over the balcony, and I have to consider whether I should just pretend I'm not home…
